Stuart Hall Eastham Building

Located at 107 West Beverly, this is a historic four-story building with a structural brick front elevation, wood framed floors, and roof partially supported by a line of steel framing. This project consisted of a total gut and renovation to house a new state-of-the-art technology center which opened in 2020 for Stuart Hall School. Monteverde provided the structural engineering for the project including extensive field survey to verify and evaluate existing structural conditions, structural capacity analysis of existing floor and roof framing, structural retrofits of existing floor framing to increase structural capacity and floor performance/stiffness, second floor framing revisions to accommodate a new open atrium, framing retrofits to accommodate a revised stairwell, new/retrofit framing for a new roof well to support new mechanical equipment, and provided Construction Administration through the completion of the project.
