Crist Farm Trail

The new trails, which are located off Will Lane adjacent to Oakdale Park in Bridgewater Virginia, are comprised of a mix of 8-foot wide fully-accessible paved walkways and 6-foot wide gravel trails. They provide access to several destinations and overlooks, including a natural playground, outdoor classroom, marsh walk, woodland overlook, and more. The 20-acre site is ecologically diverse with woods, a pond, native grassland, natural streams, and an expansive meadow. Bridgewater Retirement Community commissioned Monteverde Engineering & Design Studio to develop the master plan for these new trails to not only give the BRC residents expanded access to outdoor active living but to complement the existing trails and parks in the Town of Bridgewater for the community as a whole to enjoy.
