A U.S. Army veteran who served in Afghanistan and Iraq, Kent brings a foundation of preparation, precision, and accountability to his work at Monteverde Engineering & Design Studio. He holds a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from Virginia Tech and an MBA from James Madison University, blending design and business insight to deliver practical, client focused results. His interest in landscape architecture began during his military service, where he developed a deep appreciation for how communities shape their environment with purpose and creativity.

As a licensed Professional Landscape Architect, Kent leads site design and land development projects for public and private clients across the Shenandoah Valley. He values collaboration and enjoys mentoring young engineers and designers to help them grow in their craft.

Outside of work, Kent enjoys time with his wife and two kids, cheering on JMU and Virginia Tech, traveling, golfing, and a good family game night.
